The Next Big Game - CTVS and ARD in Friendly Matchup






 

Following the successful 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, CTVS was the main broadcast provider for the next prominent sporting event in May 2009. The German national soccer team some may argue may not have been up to snuff during its international match in Shanghai against the Chinese Team (the game ended in a 1-1 tie). However, CTVS, no one will question delivered a masterpiece in managing the next major sporting event for its client: German television station ARD.

Behind the Scenes of the Shanghai Stadium CTVS provided all of the required technical equipment. More than 100 members of our team managed engineering and installation procedures. CTVS also provided an outside broadcasting vehicle with 14 cameras and lenses of up to 101x – all in HD.

All journalistic coverage on the sidelines of the match was handled by CTVS crews as well as providing flexible camera teams and editing suites. Our experience with major sporting events and the extraordinary commitment of our team made the weeks of hard labor a resounding success.
