SCHMIDT MEDIA SUPPORT


 

One of the major commitments for CTVS during the Beijing 2008 Summer Games was to Schmidt Media – the official media partner of the Olympics’ German House.

CTVS were their exclusive technical service provider of support teams, which included edit suites, studios facilities, and SNG operations.

Schmidt Media became the first user of CTVS’ 5-camera OB van for its programs and multi-camera productions. On-call demands from German clients, saw CTVS supplying daily feeds and live stand-up positions organized at a moments notice. A four-camera studio was constructed inside the luxurious Kempinski Hotel in downtown Beijing for several talk shows produced by Schmidt Media during the month of August 2008. The show’s signal was immediately received by the CTVS OB van outside the studios, where the program was directly mixed and fed on the spot to various locales throughout Europe.

This was great news for corporate clients Schenker, Bayer, Zurich Insurance, CMA, and Kempinski, as they were relying on Schmidt to deliver the latest Olympic information to their headquarters and play-out locations.

CTVS thoroughly enjoyed cooperating with Schmidt Media and are looking forward to more exciting future projects together (including the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, and Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada).
